Subject:Advance timing question

Ok List,

I'm finally going to have the timing advanced on my stock 95 tomorrow
a.m.  What should I expect?  Lower gas milage? Pinging? More pep on
the lower side?  Also, should I have them set it to 14BTDC or work my
way up?  My mechanic suggested I try 10 or 12 then go to 14.  I would
rather have it set based on the experience of other Miata owners.
