This morning I noticed a small rubber gear-like piece on the floormat of
the passenger side underneath the glove compartment. It is round, with
serrated edges like some kind of drive gear, yet is made of fairly soft,
black rubber (like might be used in a tape deck or other small electric
appliance), about 10mm thick and 15mm in diameter, with a smooth-sided hole
in the center that is approximately 7mm in diameter.
Does anybody have any idea what it is and where it came from? Everything
in the car works and I've noticed no sudden, strange rattles. If you know
what it is, please post to the list or e-mail me directly.
Thanks.
