Keep the 195 number, but drop to a 55 profile. This will result in about a
1% difference from stock (1%smaller rolling diameter). As is, your profile
is a little too high at 195/60R14. With the 195/55R14 setup, you will have
to go 100mph before you notice the 1% difference on the speedo (I think?),
so it shouldn't be a problem. Point is, 1% difference is pretty darn
small. You can always play around with the tire size calculator on
miata.net to find the best fit for a certain tread width. Just go to
miata.net and search for "tire size calculator".
