Hmm, either you didn't read far enough, or I misunderstand - below 
the portion you quoted, Otto Joe mentioned that he had a Hard Dog 
Sport Bar, but didn't have the harness bar with it.  He was wondering 
if installing the harness on the cockpit brace would be an acceptable 
substitute.  Rollbar - harness bar + cockpit brace = harness?  ;-) 
 My guess would be Yes, but that is worth nothing since I don't 
currently have a roll bar and am no expert on the subject...
