When you mention "intermittent" and "erratic", I think of bad electrical
connections. I had these kind of problems (and I soldered my connections) as
have others on the list. You really need to at least borrow those devices
needed to monitor those functions (fuel pressure, retard rate and A/F ratios)
to enable you to have the input needed to diagnose the problem. You should
have the mechanical FP gauge that came with the Aerodyne and it can still be
taped to the windshield for monitoring. If you know someone who has the J&S
Dual Monitor it is a simple plug-in to the J&S box with only a tap into the O2
sensor wire to complete it. That will tell you volumes about what is going
on.
