Alex, you sure had a great trip! I can also attest to the fun of going
on long trips in a Miata. And I can also say the fun is even better if
there is a group of Miatas traveling together on the long trip. Back in
'94 we had a group of 5 Miatas caravaning from the SF Bay area to Indy
II. Did almost the whole trip on old US-50 9A great mostly two lane road
across America. After Indy we travelled as a group to Irvine for the 5th
Birthday party. We drove many parts of old 66 on that run. As a result,
I am still encouraging the Miatas Across America concept for next year
so more people can experience the joy of the backroads of America while
heading to Texas and beyond. Any takers out there?

Hello All!

It's been a long time since I have corresponded with the list. I have
been on a cross country excursion since the end of May. Although I
intended on periodically filling everyone in on the Miata happenings of
my trip, it just didn't happen that way. So here is a synopsis of the
trip. It may read as a review of the Miata as a long distance roadtrip
car. For those who may not know, Perrito is a 93 LE, bone stock, except
for tires.
