I had a JR CAI installed in my 94C prior to getting the turbo bug and the
difference was night and day. I've always felt that my car was unusally
strong. However, it'd seem to run out of breath above 5K. W/ the CAI and
14 degree bump, the tach definitely races toward redline w/ increased
urgency. I personally think it's a great product.

Judging by reports from people whose perceptions I trust, the only
product mentioned above that will actually increase power to a noticeable
extent over a simple timing advance is the JR CAI. The other stuff
(including the TSIs) is purely cosmetic, although it may increase the
amount of intake noise. And the JR CAI improvement is in the "barely
noticeable" category.

Go-fast money is better spent on suspension, IMHO, until you've saved
enough for a turbo. But do the timing advance regardless.
