Hey all,

I will send my personal post later.  I just got in from the Gap and am
very tired.  This is on behalf of the Foothills Miata Club of the
Carolinas' members that attended Deal's Gap '98.

We all had a great time.  The Gap run was fantastic.  Miatae as far as
the eye could see.  To Scott and Doc, a heart felt thank you from us
all.  You two did a wonderful job publicizing the "non-event",
organizing the officially "unorganized" happenings, and gathering all
the great stuff for the giveaway.  To Mary "mother of the mountains",
we'd like to thank you for coming up with this concept.  We look forward
to meeting you and your club up in Highlands for a joint event or two in
the very near future.  To the RAGS members, it was great seeing you all
again and we'll have to plan another Gap run before it gets cold.....no
ditch witch this time though guys.  We'll talk about the white water
rafting trip soon.  To the Sunriders members, thanks for the hospitality
and use of your porch for our impromptu party.  To all who attended the
Gap weekend, we at Foothills were very excited to place names with
signature lines and see some old familiar faces.  Our list of friends
has grown and we had a spectacular time on the twisties.

Thanks to all who made this weekend possible and to all who shared in
the joy with us,
