I can shed a little light for those of you that are interested in the
fog lamps for the '99 Miata.

My company supplies the fog lamp kit to Mazda for the '99 Miata and I
specifically handle the Mazda account.

Mazda is purchasing the lights in two different ways, in bulk for
installation at their ports throughout the US and in a kit form to be
supplied to the dealerships.  So far Mazda has purchased primarily in
bulk and from what I have heard plans to start purchasing the kit
version within a few weeks.

The lights are not really that difficult to install.  Yes, it does
require that the facia be removed but if you are good with a drill and
a dremel the holes are easy to cut out.

So, give it a few more weeks and your local dealerships should have
kits available.
