I've been enjoying all of the posts about Deals Gap '98; it looks like 
every one had a great time! I'm not sure I can do it yet, but I'm going 
to make an attempt to attend Deals Gap '99 driving from San Francisco.
My 
parents live in the North Carolina mountains and I figure I can drive out 
and combine visit with my folks with the Gap. Maybe I can bring my Dad; 
he knows his way around those mountains, and I'll get lost without a 
guide.  :-) My only problems -- I'll need three consecutive weeks off 
from work, and I will no doubt finally regret my lack of A/C, driving 
across the country in the middle of summer. :-)
