You mean you get higher readings when the engine is cold? This is
perfectly okay.

Pressure gets lower for less temperature and/or lower revs.

As an example. 
I get about 55 psi at idle after cold startup, about 80 psi at 4500
rpm when engine is cold, 25 psi at idle when engine is fully warmed up
and no more than 65 psi at 6500 rpm with engine fully warmed up.

This makes the oil pressure gauge a very usefull tool to monitor oil
temp.
