As to the "how", I would definitely get a reputable shop to resurface the
rotors and check the whole braking system as it appears that this is the first
time that those brakes are done since you have had the car. Flushing the
braking system is extremely important and you might as well tell them to use
"Dot 4" fluid as a replacement.
Pads are very easy to replace and, next time, you might very well consider
doing it yourself, but, this time, a general check up is, in my opinion, in
order.
I would order OEM Mazda pads from "Roebuck" <http://www.roebuckmazda.com/>
(best price) or from your local dealer and bring those in with you, the shop
should have no objections. I have nothing against "Raybestos", but as the OEM
part is quite reasonable, why use something else?
