Dennis,
BTDT - The airbag connector on the passenger side is the same 2-part
connector used in the stock steering wheel. One part goes to the
airbag itself, and the other part is for the horn wiring! When you
remove the airbag, you will have had to disconnect both connectors,
but only one is physically removed from the car. Re-connect the
other connector, and your horn will work again.
Hot tip - the Canadian 94+ Miata only had the passenger airbag on the
Leather package. On the cloth interior cars, they had a panel
assembly that fit in the dash in place of the passenger airbag. I'd
assume it bolts right in. I have this on my wish list, but haven't
picked one up as yet.
