That's far from a cheap bottom line computer.  IF that's what you actually
want, then there are 233 MMX PC clones out there for under a grand.  Come
to that, for running AOL <cringe> and MS Word, the simplest thing I can
think of (dare I say it) is an iMac for $1200.

Indeed it will.  Gateway now has a 450 MHz system out for about the same
price as the 400, just with a 17" monitor vs the 19".  If you are looking
to drop $3K on a computer system, go for it, but you /did/ say you wanted
cheap bottom line.

Gateway is one of the bigger names in the business, and as such has a
higher price than some of the competition, but their service is supposed
to be very good.
