I am glad your wife and daughter are O.K. That's the main thing to worry
about. Don't count on the Miata to be totaled out yet. I had a similar
accident and even though the airbag deployed and the front bumper cover,
headlights and hood were damaged, the car was repairable and suffered no
damage to frame or suspension. Also, the radiator, A/C compressor and all that
other stuff in the front of the car was never damaged either. Miatas are very
tough little cars.
