Go for MB Quart.  I installed 6.5" coaxes in the doors ($160/pr.) and it sounded extremely smooth.
Get the ones with the built-in crossover (cap AND coil onboard).  I ran the Quarts alone until my
sub arrived.  Of course, you won't have a killer bottom end without a sub, but the Quarts alone
sounded better in a way because there are no crossover problems.

In time, I think you'll change your mind about adding an amp :)
