I know what you mean about companies that promise fixes and don't 
deliver.  A year and a half ago I bought a moving map for the GPS in the 
airplane I fly. We checked with the company to see if it was compatable 
before we bought it. They assured us that it was, but some of the 
features would not work correctly. They are aware of the problem and have 
been working on a fix all this time. When you call them they give all 
kinds of excuses as to why it is not ready yet.
