Num,

There is a fix and it is a glass windowed robbins top. (VBG) Seriously 
when I had a small tear in my plastic window I used the clear patch from 
a kit for a vinyl pool float. I put clear silicone on the outside of the 
window and them the patch. Also I did the same inside the window. That 
held up for about 2 years until the window yellowed enough to replace the 
top. Hope this helps.
