Thanks to all who responded to request for advice on whether I should
get it done or
not.

Per my initial post, I'm not a handyman, so I'm going to spend some
dough to have the "pros" do it.  But instead of just buying off on the
dealer package, I've decided to get done just the recommended
maintenance actions listed in the car manual.

Will shop around a bit to determine which dealer will do the work based
on price, sked, and reputation.
