Last hour? Like the missiles have been launched kind of thing? Batteries
in my pacemaker starting to fail? The last two gallons of gas on the planet
are in my car? A ticking time bomb in the trunk?

So I'm nowhere close to home either...

Take for a ride? I have to take somebody with me? Somebody famous? I
presume someone else will handle the kidnapping and straightjacket? The way
I drive a gag wouldn't hurt either. So now I get to a situation where
whomever I choose is in a bondage situation. Obviously better not pick
someone who might be offended or is under secret service protection, no
telling what might happen if they come across this in the archives.

The Road Runner (birus fastus). Virtually no added weight, accustomed to
high speed cornering, and could be handy if other vehicles don't pull over
for us.
This won't be the first writing assignment I've failed.
