Just a suggestion, but let me tell you a story:
Back in January, I purchased a used '96 Eclipse from a local dealer with a
good rep. From then on, I had all sorts of problems. First I needed to
replace the reaer tires, because one had a slow leak. Then I found the car
needed new brakes. Next I had to replace the other two tires and a wheel
that turned out to be slightly bent. That same weekend, the battery went
dead and I needed to replace that. Now the good one, a bearing spun in the
engine and I had to replace the entire engine! Also, at that time, I had
found out that the car was in an accident and had been at least repainted
on the entire driver's side! Well, all tolled, I spent $6000 on the car
in just repairs in about 8 months. Finally I said enough of this and sold
the car (got what I originally paid for it) and bought a '99 Miata. I will
never buy another used, non-beater car again.

Well, we all have our goals. The important thing is that you buy a Miata,
whatever the color, options, etc. The fun-factor in your life will
sky rocket! I'm just sad cause I have to put my Miata away for the winter
soon!!!
