I got one from CRI last year. At an autocross this summer the sky had been
cloudy all morning and so I put on the cockpit cover before I went out to
work the course. Fifteen minutes later it clouded up, the wind started
blowing and BOOM, it started raining and blowing like crazy. All of us
course workers ran to the back of the timing trailer to wait out the rain
and I thought: "Damn, I'm in the next heat." Well, the rain eventually
stopped and when I was through working I ran over to my Miata, raised one
side of the cockpit cover to allow the water to run off to the other side
and very carefully folded it up. To my utter amazement, the inside of the
car was dry. I don't know about the other brands but the CRI works just fine.

It keeps Voodoo knobs cool too...
