Miata Mailing List: November 1998, Message #1288

I only received one opinion on the quality of the Snugtop brand hardtop
for the miata. I know someone else must have one on the list. Please
feel free to send some opinions my way.

My choices are:

1. Brand new Mazda yellow hardtop w/ defrost. Like $2800 (ha)
2. Used Mazda yellow hardtop, most likely without defrost, RARE - $1500
at least
3. Used Mazda hardtop any color, w/ defrost. paint yellow - $1000 for
top, $300 paint job
4. Used Mazda hardtop any color, w/o defrost. paint yellow - $750 for
top, $300 paint job
5. Live with the soft top. I could also buy a used tall version of the
Hard Core Bar and get it installed for less than any of the above.
6. Turbo system. $3500 Hmmm.... 

The retrofit defroster mods cost about $100.
