Yeah, I know, Tokiko, Koni or GAB's. But seriously, has anyone tried Monroe
Shur-Trac's on their Miata? Supposed to have 2 "automatic" settings via
some extra room in the shock case that is only utilized on rougher roads.
* Ivan,
Don't have any experience with those shocks at all...but....
They're sold in pairs at @$149 from NAPA. (List is $219). I'm almost
exclusively a street driver, but certainly enjoy a good tight turn on
occasion. Don't want teeth rattled, though (too old to have sore kidneys).
Hate the thought of $440 for adjustibles, plus installation, only to have to
listen to the wife for too harsg a setting.
* The Tokico Illuminas or GAB's (don't know about Koni's) on their soft
settings are really comfortable, yet allow you to dial up the "stiffness" when
you want to have some fun in the twisties.
Anyone have experienec with other non-adjsutibles, like Bilsteins? I've
read the reviews of Tokico HP's and they don't sound too favorable. KYB's?
Others?
* IMHO...I'd still say the adjustable shocks will be able to please your wife
and your likes...Those shocks have certainly pleased a lot of people with
Miatas...
FWIW,
Aaron
