If I represented an insurance company, I would think twice before covering
this kind of event. If you look at the actual damage rate, it is perhaps 5%
per event (5 out of 80 damaged at LS2? 3 at SP1? - perhaps more). Not great
statistically for an insurance company, but better than a Texas hailstorm.
Another aspect to this is that there is no requirement to have your car
insured at an Aaron event.
The often used alternative is to tow the damaged car out onto the highway
and get creative...
So how many of those cars damaged at LS/SP did successfully claim from their
insurance co?
