Hi all,

I received exactly four replies to my questions about the cheap off brand
lights vs. the expensive brand names. One reply said that the personal
experience of the user of similar lights was quite satisfactory. Another
replied that hearsay gave these lights bad reviews (personal experience was
with brand name lights).
Two other people asked me what I found out or to relay what I had found out.
I also spoke with a local accesories retailer who said that the cheap lights
were worthless *and* overpriced (he sells the more expensive brands). His
explanation was that the brand name lights are of a *sealed beam* design, thus
they are superior to the cheesy cheap lights. I also was told that the cheap
lights would blow when the ambient temp drop to 40°F or less.
I think I'm going to take this lights I got back to Pep Boys and try to find
cheaper cheesy lights. If I'm going to take a chance with them, I'll see if I
can minimize my outlay of money.
