I have a Midland Hand-held unit with an external Radio Shack speaker velcroed to the small area of carpet between the seats. Plugs into cig lighter. This way I can easily transfer the setup to other cars if desired.

Use a mag mount whip ant. which give sufficient range (2-3miles) for outings. I bought the unit on the net from a CB Dealer on Colorado. Total cost was about $150. If you go handheld, the small ant that comes attached to the unit is insufficient for outings.

I use a small (1-1/4 X 4-1/4 X 6-1/2) Radio Shack CB. I glued some
