Black is the hardest color to keep nice. My suggestion would be wash and wax
the car and park it in your living room and occasionally rub it with a diaper
:^) But I guess you do want to drive it huh?
I have had very good luck using Meguiar's swirl remover with a random orbital
polisher using Meguiar's or 3M's foam pads on my mariner blue. I remove the
polish with a clean terry cloth towel. Use a lot of patience. If you get too
aggressive with your polish, like using fine cut cleaner, you could put swirl
marks in the paint that are hard to remove.

The swirl remover seems to do a good job of polishing without adding swirl
marks.
