MR2 and Miata Digest Folks,

well i awoke early today to run with a few folks from IMOC 
(International MR2 Owners Club) and SDMC (San Diego Miata Club)

my once clean 92 turbo MR2 was now covered in tree piss (sap) from 
being parked under a torrey time in La Jolla last night...no time to 
wash....off i go.....hope i dont get the "Dirty Dog Award"...;)

the run was a good one, encompassing the Ortega Hwy (double fine 
zone) and some backcountry twisties in Fallbrook that i never 
knew existed.....great twisties.......for a 4X4!!! there were some 
sections that were a bit to rough for my stiff setup.......no matter, 
as the pace was slow due to the sheer numbers....72 of em little 
buggers!!! good show!!! stan his wife and i pulled ahead from the 
start (we were insuborbinate, cuz we were told to get to the back 
of the bus)....as we were headed to their place to pickup his wifes 
signal yellow miata. now she had something to play with! nice ride! 
however, i will reserve comment on the mustang, stan...;).....we 
eventually caught up (after kinda being displaced in the backcountry) 
to the main group at a intersection and fell in que.....

after some socializing at a rest stop, i broke off to run up Mt 
Palomar. you see, i was in dire need of a speed fix and driving with 
72 miatas just did not cut my mustard....good folk....but not quite 
fast enough for me. i know its tough when you have 72 carz to keep in 
line.....;) 

i was impressed with the # of SC miatas in attendance. a great deal 
of love and care was expended on their topless partners and 
it showed! pretty sharp!.....would have liked to have a few SCs run 
with me up Mt Palomar, but the lure of chitchat and vino at temeculas 
vinyards was to great i suppose......anyway, my blast up Palomar was 
a thrill as usual.....some traffic going up but not coming 
down!...8).....got a clean shot (very rare for 2 in the 
afternoon)...8).....the new stereo install drowns out any, all, every 
wind buffeting noise at 110 very nicely!...heh....and scares the piss 
outta da birds on the wires too!

thanx for the invite dave, chuck the good folks of SDMC and 
SCMC....you guyz/galz are a good crew!......now i need to with some 
of your SC miatas on a small blast into the backcounrty twisties 
sometime!?..;)
