Well, the first day of 99 has been rather uneventful.  During the planning
for the Euro (mainly a European non-event!) everybody thought it would be a
good idea to make sure there was enough staff on hand to cover all the
problems that would surely be encountered by the banking businesses when
the Euro was allowed to be used.  So far (it is now 6:00 PM London time)
there hasn't been as much as a peep from our customers.  But me and my
team, professionals as we are, are still here just in case someone in
Europe has a problem or even a question.

It is cold, but sunny outside and I would much rather be tooling around the
parkways, even with the top up, than be here.  Unfortunately, we have to be
here tomorrow as well.  But we have Sunday off.  The weather guesser is
saying SNOW on that day, and lots of it.  So much for getting a Miata fix
this weekend.
