PT,  No offense but you purchased the wrong hood strut.  The one from PBC
(Performance Buyer's Club) does NOT make your hood bulge.  Jeff Anderson
(the designer/maker of the PBC version) picked a strut with just barely the
right amount of tension to hold the hood up.  A good breeze can push the
hood closed.  (Don't even try to hang a trouble light on the hood with the
PBC strut in place.)  BUT... no annoying hood bulges!  Plus, Jeff's design
bolts right in using existing holes!!
