FWIW, last fall I dyno'd my stock '95M.  I topped out at 105 hp @ 6000 rpm
at the rear wheels.  Both pulls went slightly past 6500 rpm, although the
power curve starts to drop off slightly past 6000.  I doubt you would have
seen any more power had you pulled higher.  From what I've read, my numbers
are right in the ballpark for an early 1.8L.
