Never did get around to taking the batter out, since the miata is 
right in the garage. The battery was down (wouldn't start) so I put 
my old charger on it at 2 Amp switch setting (also has 6 Amp).

The charger has a meter that started at a little less than 2 Amp 
and then went  down to less that 1/2 Amp after about 24 Hrs.

Does this mean it's acting like a trickle charger and OK to just 
leave it connected w/o hurting the battery or do I need to take it off 
and on every week or two????
