Subject:TEC-II install update

Greetings!
This is intended for those out there who obtained info from me on the TEC-II
installation on my '91 turbo Miata. I discovered a way to simplify the
installation a little bit more and eliminate some clutter under the hood.

Six months after completing the installation of the TEC-II, whilst perusing
the electrical schematics for my '91 Miata, I discovered a way to eliminate
the GM thermosensor provided by Electromotive and use the stock Miata
thermosensor. The Miata has one thermoswitch for the radiator fans, one
thermosensor (schematic C, connection C-02) for the intrument cluster, and one
thermosensor (schematic B-1b, connector B1-17) for the stock ECU. Both
thermosensors are wired to connector X-12 which connects the front harness to
the injector harness. The stock ECU thermosensor can be used with the TEC-II
by connecting TEC pin 1 (CLT) to connector X-12, wire L/W (blue with white
stripe). Connect TEC-II pin 2 (S GND) to connector X-12, wire B/LG (black with
light green stripe). This will allow you to use the stock thermosensor and not
have the brass fitting arrangement shown in the photos I sent to you. I will
be modifying my installation to reflect this.

Regards,
Barry
