I wonder if this is accurate information. I was at a Porsche Club expo last
Saturday where one of the seminars was on braking and brakes. The speaker
spoke very adamantly about bedding in new pads and even said that some
*racers* tape a label on their steering wheel saying *new pads* or
something like that to remind themselves that they need to take it easy and
not let the red mist take over. He said that with the proper break-in, all
components of the braking system will work better and last longer. I will
leave it to others better qualified to describe the proper technique.
Is it not possible that the phone support people are saying what is easiest
to shorten the call, or to make their product look better?
