Doug,

Come on now :-) If you are really serious about this, why don't you take
off one of your wheels and see if it fits in the trunk? I'll bet you that
it won't. BTW, when was the last time you had a real flat with modern
tires. I mean one that caused you to actually use your little donut spare.
The only times in the past 10 or 15 years or so that I've had low tires were
ones which picked up screws or nails. If you leave them in, you can usually
drive to the gas station to get them repaired.

Better yet, buy a repair kit at Sears, or an auto parts store for $1.95 and
do the repair yourself. The kit is the same thing the gas station will use
and Bill (with the *Slut*) will probably chime in that it is better than a
fix a flat can of goop.

Wow, there's a thought. Take out your spare and carry the aforementioned
repair kit and a small compressor. If you pay attention to your tires
pressure and don't have sidewall damage, this may be the ticket to a lot
more trunk room. And for those of you who have put on big brakes, it may be
the only solution.

FWIW,
