I spoke with Mazda directly and they said that the 99 top looks the same
and has the same features as the 97, but it is actually slightly wider.
Mazda also said that the pre-99 tops will not fit correctly on the 99
anyway.  So I am assuming that the top I got is for a 99 since it fits with
no problems.

Is there a better way to tell if I have the 99 hard top?  A part number or
serial number somewhere on the top.  The dealer said it was a 99 top and if
they are wrong, they are getting me a new one.
