My $.02 (Canadian, that's about $.013 US) is that you should put in the
sways before touching the springs. Springs are probably the last thing you
should monkey with, as they will have the greatest effect on your car's
streetability with lowered ground clearance and a rougher ride. You may
want to change the springs in your Miata depending on your ultimate goal,
but the sways may be enough for you. Oh, and springs are a lot more
expensive (or difficult, depending on who does your work) to install than
sways, which is not reflected in the purchase price.
