This is just me, but I'd go with the '94 R. 20 grand is a lot of money for
a car that is only fractionally better than the '94. That said, 14 grand is
definitely too much for the '94. I bought mine in '97 for about $12k, with
24k on the odo. Granted the racing paraphernalia adds some value, but the
cracked rear window reduces it a bit as well. The Laguna color doesn't
really increase the market value of the car. You should be able to get at
least 48 month financing on the '94 so your payments would be lower.
I wouldn't be concerned with the low miles on the R, if it's been
autocrossed you can be assured it's been driven the way it was meant to be.
Get it checked out by a mechanic or fellow MCSWF member, though.
Whatever you do, I'm ready to help you do the stripes!
