I wouldn't go that far! While power steering is probably better for
autocrossing, plenty of people have been very successful autocrossing R
Miatas.
If you're going to have to go with adjustable shocks and sways to be
competitive, I'd rather start at $12k than $20k.
Besides, success in autocrossing is 98% driver, 2% car.
