Roger,
I change the all quite frequently without the use of jacks or ramps.
First you go to Kragen or any other auto supply store and buy a oil catcher
that has a nice low profile.( the one that I have fits with about 1/2 -3/4
inch to spare ) Now you crack the oil plug loose but don't loosen it to much
.now you slide the oil catcher into place and finish backing out the plug
and voila` she drains. Now you can take the oil filter off and so on. The
key to this whole procedure in the low profile oil catcher and the oil
filter wrench that you bought. ( I got the oil filter wrench from Moss)On my
most recent oil change I used a magnetized replacement plug that uses a
nylon washer instead of copper it does not leak and it keeps you from over
tightening the plug. I have no idea if a plug that is magnetized does any
good but I like the concept.
Hope that helps,
Steven Gamble
