If anyone should run across one, I would be grateful for information about

If anyone has purchased such a car, I would also like information on what
kinds of prices these cars are trading at. Also, does anyone know if the
BRG cars were manufactured after the crankshafts were upgraded? >>

There's a '91 LE listed in today's Sacramento Bee--46k, mint cond. $12,000
(916) 455-5377 evenings only

and another in last weeks Bee:

Excellent cond, with hard top, 35k, $11,500
(707) 428-6260

Also check Edmunds and Kelley Blue Book (www.edmunds.com and www.kbb.com) for
their price estimates. Their wholesale/retail price estimates are only
slightly higher for the LE than for a "regular" Miata.

Also check the Miata net classified ads at

http://www.miata.net/classified/carads.html

I paid what I thought was _top_ dollar for my '91 LE in July, '95--$16,000 for
a mint car with 18k. Emma now has 60k trouble-free miles on her odo.

I recently read (but can't confirm) that _all_ the LEs have VINs >209466, the
cutoff for the small-nose crank.

Happy hunting!
