I am probably doing a mailing list no-no by talking about non-related
list info, but I'll make it short.
The worst cab ride I had is the:

Recipe for Destruction

Ingredients:

2      sloshed VERY YOUNG people in New Orleans
1      taxi cab
1      jaded, bitter driver
1      bottle of liquor to have the driver ingest 15 minutes prior to
your pick-up
10+  narrow,  people - filled streets
10+  red lights that go unnoticed
1      speedometer that registers above 60mph at least twice

Combine all of the above.
If you follow directions, you'll fly the wrong way down Canal Street,
and have to catapult out at a red light he PAUSES for- and then after
recovering from jumping out of a moving vehicle,  run across three lanes
of traffic, duck into a nearby sandwich shop and wait under a back table
while the cab driver is running by, angrily looking for you to pay your
fare. (While his cab is still at the light!)
A cop will escort you to your hotel room on the other side of town.

Whew! SO glad I am not addicted to drama anymore. The older I get (23!)
the more I love stability!
My .02, but I charge $20.00 for the recipe, so makes hose checks out to
"cash"...
