Almost without exception you can have either the low cost financing or the
rebate---it's almost always better to take the rebate; also, not everyone
will qualify for the low interest rate. It is always a good idea to
negotiate the price of a car before you lease but invariably the actual
selling price will be changed by the time you get to the finance guy. How
many have found themselves renogotiating the monthly payment after you think
have negogiated the selling price? I have a very simple worksheet which
will allow anyone to figure the monthly payment on a lease if they have the
following: MSRP, selling price, residual and money factor---any dealer doing
an honest deal (few) will be more than happy to provide this info when
purchasing a car; almost none will provide this info to the casual
info/price shopper. If anyone is currently trying to lease a car I woiuld
be happy to fax a copy of the worksheet to them.
