I have the Type V Euro style bar installed on my '90. There is some
interference with reclining the seats backwards at their extremes. The
headrests rub slightly against the sides of the bar. I've simple gotten used
to it and there doesn't appear to be any noticeable wear after two years.
Just a note that Type V bars produced after February 1999 will accommodate
hard tops such as the Robbins. Also be careful of the colour choices for the
99 models especially tan. Apparently they lightened the interior and you'll
want to co-ordinate the bar accordingly. You can find out more on the racing
Beat website. From an installation pov it was easy to install. The holes and
supplied bolts and spaces all work well.
