Just an aside. If you live in one of those areas where you occasionally get
rock "stars," placing a piece of that clear upholstery tape over the
damage, as soon after it happens as possible, can prevent it from spreading.
Most windshield places can repair these, if they are small enough (usually
"quarter" size or smaller) through an injection of "gook" which will save
you a windshield replacement.
