Tire pressures are nearly always specified cold, because there are too
many heat-producing variables in each driving situation. Plus, tires
start to cool off as soon as you park.
27 psi hot will probably give you only 20-23 cold--way too little for
good handling, and possibly too little to support the car's weight
safely. Not to mention, the extra heat you'll generate on the highway
will significantly shorten tire life. 27 cold is probably much closer to
ideal for street use.
