| Subject: | Drove A 10AE Today |

Jeff Dofing and I were changing out our timing belts today, when up
drove John and Bonnie Maxwell in their new 10AE, number 1699. They
insisted that Jeff and I take it out and find a twisty road someplace
and really try it out. Eventually we were coaxed to do so.
Very nice car! It was quick, the 6-speed box was smooth, and the car
handled well on it's Michelin Pilots. The car had 550 miles on it and
John is of the "break it in as you intend to drive it" school, so we
went to red line several times. The blue color is much nicer than
described. Unfortunately, the seats had blue temporary "saver" covers
on them, so we couldn't see the blue suede seat inserts.
Anyway, a fun experience.
