As a fellow cone killer, I have never had any trouble removing cone
marks from my '94 Laguna blue.  They just rub off with a damp cloth.

To prepare for a race I always wash the car and then add a fresh
application of Quick Detailers spray.

If you do not have a clear coat on your car, then you may want to just
proudly wear the cone marks as rightly won battle scars.... ;-)
