I'm getting codes 8 and 3. I know 8 is "mass airflow sensor" and 3 is
"SGT signal-camshaft position sensor." Now, my '94R (Mimi) has the JR cold
air induction kit, so the timing is bumped up to 14BTDC. Could that fact
be the reason for either/all of the codes I'm getting? The guys at
Goodyear still say the coil pack is bad, but I'll tell you, it's just
"barely bad" if anything. Even if I ride the clutch a hair and give it
more than the "necessary" amount of gas to leave a stop sign or stop light
nothing is wrong. Weird. Oh yeah, how do I get to the mass airflow sensor
to see if I can clean it off, if that's possible. I think someone
suggested doing that, but I don't know where it is. Do I have to take off
the cold air induction kit to get to the sensor?
Thanks very much,
Tom and Mimi
